中小型泥水平衡頂管機應用于市政中小型管道（污水管、供水管、供電電纜管、通信電纜管、天然氣管等）的建設，管材通常為砼管、鋼管、玻璃鋼夾砂管，可以適應在土、砂土、含有小粒徑的卵石和礫石等地質(zhì)條件下施工，適用直線或曲線頂進距離100m-1000m。采用泥水平衡方式完成土體切割、推進、連續(xù)排渣等作業(yè)，完成中小型管道安全、高效、高質(zhì)量非開挖鋪設，可以較好地控制地面沉降。
